You'll then receive a short, guided intake — a few thoughtful questions, and for some letters a brief interview — so I can write with the right details, tone, and truth. Once I have what I need, your letter is written, refined once, and delivered as a digital PDF.How long does it take? Turnaround depends on the piece — from 5 business days for a Memory Keepsake to 14 business days for a Family Legacy Letter, once your intake is complete. Exact timing for each letter is listed above. Need it sooner? Priority Turnaround is available as an add-on.Do I need to write anything myself? No. You share the story through a short form or a guided conversation — memories, details, tone — and the writing is mine to do. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Legacy Letters creates personal, custom-written pieces. Because each letter, tribute, or archive entry is written individually around the details you share, this policy is built around that bespoke process rather than a standard returns policy for off-the-shelf goods.1. Before your intake or interview begins A full refund is available if you contact [email protected] within 48 hours of purchase and before you've submitted your intake form or completed your guided interview.2. After your intake or interview has been submitted Once your intake or interview is complete, writing begins, and the order is no longer eligible for a refund — this reflects the time already committed to your piece. Every order includes one full round of revision, so if the first draft doesn't yet feel right, that's the place to make it so.3. Delivery delays If Legacy Letters fails to deliver your piece within the stated turnaround window, and the delay isn't caused by missing or late information from you, you're entitled to request a partial or full refund, or a firm new delivery date.4. Subscriptions — Living Archive Monthly & Yearly You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting [email protected]; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Once a monthly entry or annual narrative is underway, that period is non-refundable, in line with section 2 above.5. Add-ons Add-ons are non-refundable once the associated work has begun or been dispatched — for example, once Priority Turnaround has been applied to your order, or a Printed Keepsake Edition has gone to print.6. Your consumer rights This policy sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.7. How to request a refund or cancellation Email [email protected] with your order number and the email address used at checkout. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5 business days of approval.
